Jocelyn De Courcy Davies
Sometimes life becomes difficult and feels overwhelming. It can be very hard to cope alone and sometimes those around us aren't able to help in the way we need. Reaching out to a counsellor can help you find a way forward and ease the feelings of anxiety and depression that often come hand in hand with life's challenges and problems.
I am a BACP registered Person-Centred therapist. I believe you deserve to be held in safe hands with someone who will treat you with honesty, dignity and respect whilst you work through what is troubling you. I aim to help you to express your thoughts and feelings in a safe and non-judgemental environment. Often people find this is the first time they have been able to express themselves freely and truthfully. My role is not to judge and change who you are, but to understand you and your experiences. I will allow you to work at your own pace on the areas of life that are causing you pain and give you the space and freedom to reflect, learn and discover how to work towards positive change.
Please call me if you think you need counselling and we can discuss when to meet and how counselling works. I always try to be flexible as I can with appointments, as many clients work or have family commitments.
On our first session we will start to look at what is troubling you and what you would like counselling to do for you.
If you think you would like to work with me we can book in regular appointments that suit you. My aim is for you to be in control so you choose when and how often we see each other. You are under no obligation to take a minimum number of sessions and can stop our sessions at any time.
