About me

Are you feeling stuck, unsure about what is going to happen in the future, overwhelmed about making a decision? Or maybe you are struggling making decisions about a relationship, living with anxiety and it's starting to affect your life or finally deciding to deal with something from your past that is still troubling you today? Whatever it is, I can help you by offering a supportive, confidential space where you can talk about your past, your dreams and start to begin to look at the future with hope.

This might be your first time exploring therapy or it might be time for a new therapist, a change in motion, both of which can be scary or daunting but I am here to help to make that process easier for you.

These sessions are about you and your needs.

They are exploring your  past to help shape your future.

They are about learning methods to help control your anxiety or depression.

They are about you learning how to trust your own decision making process and make important choices about your own life, past, present and future.

We can develop a trusting and mutually respectful relationship that will enhance our sessions and allow you to be as open as you want to be.

This is about you and whatever you want or need to bring to the session.

A bit about me

I am an integrative therapist which means that I am trained in various modalities including Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Transactional Analysis Therapy.

During the sessions, we may use just one of these modalities or a combination of 2 or 3 depending on what you may bring to the session.

Everyone has their own counselling experience that works for them, so expect to learn so much about yourself during this process. Counselling can be tough, especially in those first few sessions if you've never been through this process before.

I have experience of working with people in domestic abuse situations, pregnancy/child loss, other bereavement, stress, anxiety, self esteem & confidence issues. work problems, family situations and much more.

Before becoming a counsellor/therapist, I ran (and still do) a charity and have taught mental health courses for 6 years. Both of these types of work have had me people focused and helping others in their times of need.

Whatever the reason for seeing me is, I will always ensure that you feel safe and comfortable to talk about anything that you may need to.

I offer online sessions and face to face in the Cheadle Hulme/Wilmslow area which we can schedule following our first initial free 15 minute phone call to discuss your needs.

Please message to discuss.

The appointment times are 50 minutes for a single person session.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
