About me
First of all, how are you?
Are you feeling feel stuck, frustrated, depressed, anxious, or lacking in self-esteem? Perhaps you've suffered a bereavement or loss that keeps on troubling you, or maybe you are struggling with a particular relationship. We all have difficult times like these, and counselling might help you find a way through.
How can I help?
I offer a free 15 minute initial call, to help you find out if we connect well, and to help me understand more about the kind of counselling you are looking for and the issues you want to address.
I am a BACP-registered counsellor trained in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I bring to my counselling practice more than 25 years experience of working in Health and Social Care.
How will we work together?
I work in an integrative way, which means that I have been trained to use a variety of different styles and modalities of counselling and psychotherapy, which I will adapt according to your needs and preferences. I will provide a comfortable, confidential, non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, and I will be alongside you to provide a safe container for anything you may find overwhelming.
I prefer to work in-person, at least initially, as I believe this promotes a naturally relational experience, which builds trust and confidence more quickly and effectively. However I am also highly experienced in working online, so if this is your personal preference, I'm happy to accommodate it.
If you require multiple sessions, I will aim to arrange these with you on the same day and time every week. I will keep the agreed session day and time dedicated to you personally. This means that I will not be using your session time for another client, even if you cannot attend. For this reason, if you are unable to attend, I will require at least 24hrs notice, or the full session fee will be payable.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
