About me

I am a qualified counsellor with a wealth of experience. I believe there are times in our life when we all need some additional support to help work through issues within ourselves or our relationships. I offer a safe place to explore what is going on for you and to provide emotional support and coping strategies.

Working together

My role as your counsellor is to work with you in a way that best meets your needs and helps you to move forward with your life. I offer a non-judgemental, safe and professional counselling relationship, where you can expect to be listened to and understood. No matter how big or small the challenges you face, your counselling experience with me will be professional, confidential, safe, supportive and ethical.

I work as an integrative counsellor, which means I don’t have a one size fits all approach. I believe we are all unique individuals, who come into counselling for different reasons and want different things from it.

I am an EMDR UK & Ireland registered therapist. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a powerful treatment for individuals who have experienced some form of trauma, such as post traumatic stress, childhood sexual and/or physical abuse or neglect, assault, or road traffic accidents. Research studies have shown that EMDR can markedly accelerate your recovery after a traumatic experience. Recent research also suggests  benefits of using EMDR in treating conditions including anxiety disorder, depression and chronic pain.

Having previously worked within a corporate business environment and juggled the demands of family life, I am all too aware of the stresses and anxieties of the 'real world.'

I am available for counselling during weekdays and evenings, offering flexible appointments including early morning sessions. Ample parking provision is readily available at my place of practice.

Feedback from past clients:

"I wanted to say a big thank you for supporting me through our counselling sessions. I’m feeling much happier in myself and finding things a lot easier to cope with."

“I feel a lot more confident in myself and confident about my future, thank you."
