Joanne Bimpson Dip Counselling MBACP
Hello, my name is Jo and I am a qualified Counsellor. I use an integrative method which can be tailored to the individual. The stresses and strains of every day life can be sometimes hard to deal with. I can offer you a safe, confidential and caring place where, if you need to, you can explore your feelings surrounding present events, or past events, which are threatening your sense of well being.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and I work within their ethical framework.
Within my several years of counselling, I have experienced working with both adults and children. Helping them through a wide range of problems and issues including, anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationships, family problems and stress.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Counsellor and I trained in Person Centred approach. Though I now use other therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural techniques and relaxation where deemed necessary.
As well as my private practice, I volunteer for a charitable organisation in Preston and I also counsel children in primary schools using play therapy techniques.
I am a registered member of the BACP and I work within their ethical framework.
