About me

Experienced and professional counsellor/psychotherapist for adults, couples, young people and students.

Anxiety, depression, relationship, loss.  The situation may have been going on for some considerable time, or a more recent event is causing worry and restless thoughts

Lockdown can make a previous situation feel worse, or give rise to difficult new problems and stresses.

Gaining techniques to manage daily life and revealing hidden patterns from the past are both useful. They will loosen the hold of unwanted situations, and bring about change.

Your sessions with me will allow you to talk freely without burdening others. You'll gain a deeper understanding about yourself and your current situation/relationship so that you have more clarity and find a way forward

A session or two may be all you want, or you can continue longer giving yourself more time.  Session frequency is often weekly, but can be more or less often.

Web call or telephone counselling may fit in better with your working pattern or location, or with managing your disability.*

Your sessions will give you insight and perspective to make healthy decisions so you feel better.

*  Social distancing measures are currently obliging all sessions to be held by phone or web call for the next weeks/months.  Although different from face to face sessions, research has shown these sessions to be equally as effective.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
