About me

Counselling can offer a safe space for you to explore difficult, sometimes painful, life issues that are affecting you and perhaps stopping you from living how you would like to at the present time.

I work from a quiet and confidential counselling room in Surbiton where I provide talking therapy, both long and short term, to adults and young people (13+) with a range of emotional issues such as:

  • Stress and anxiety
  • Social Phobias
  • Feelings of being overwhelmed
  • Bullying
  • Bereavement
  • Low self esteem
  • Addiction (alcohol, drugs and sex)

As a counsellor, I do not give advice; I provide a space where I can support you in exploring thoughts and feelings in greater depth with the aim to move you forward into a happier and healthier place. The process can be a journey of self-awareness and discovery for many.

I work in a down to earth, compassionate and professional manner offering empathy and support along the way.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist and I was awarded a BA Hons degree from Middlesex University in Integrative Counselling having completed my levels 2 and 3 certificates in Counselling.

I have worked in various settings as a counsellor including the NHS and for a charity which provides a specialist counselling service for people with addiction issues, their families and carers.  I also worked for the children’s charity Place2be counselling primary school children.

As well as my counselling work, I facilitated a Mindfulness course for adults with a mental health diagnosis and/or learning disabilities.

I am a qualified Mental Health First Aider and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
