About me
I am a BACP Registered Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, which means that I work collaboratively with each client to tailor and adapt my approach according to their preferences and situation. Therapeutic approaches that I often draw from in my work include Person-Centred, Embodied Psychotherapy, and CBT. I am also regularly informed by Psychodynamic principles and thinking. I undertake regular and ongoing CPD to continually develop and expand my knowledge and approach.
I aim to create a warm, flexible and non-judgemental space where you can feel truly heard and understood and focus on whatever feels most urgent for you within each of our sessions. Sessions are offered in person and online.
There will be space to discuss your goals for the therapy, and every six to eight sessions we will make space to return to this to check in on progress and/or make revisions.
I understand that therapy can sometimes feel overwhelming, and I aim to hold the space and gently work alongside you to explore your thoughts and feelings. It is my hope that in time, we can build trust so that our sessions feel safe enough for you to bring your most authentic self.
I offer an initial 50 minute session to explore whether we might like to work together for further therapy. This is a one-off session with no expectation to continue, and I encourage every client to take time to think about whether they would like to continue working with me. This is because I believe that a strong alliance between therapist and client is a huge part of what can lead to therapy being successful, so it is important that it feels like a good fit.
If we decide to work together, we will complete a brief assessment and counselling agreement with copies for us each to keep. We will establish a focus or goals for our work together, with an agreement to check in on our progress every six to eight sessions so that we can adapt as necessary.

I have a PGDip (dist) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I have also completed a full post-qualifying certificate in Integrative Embodied Psychotherapy. My background in dance influences my practice as a therapist, as there is so much valuable information that can be explored and understood at the level of the body and the non-verbal.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
