Are you feeling confused about the emotions you are experiencing? You might be experiencing high-anxiety levels or feeling low in mood.
Anxiety can be challenging to live with both mentally and physically - Talking things through can lead to a better understanding of your experiences and how they might be impacting your every day life; relationships, work.
You might be feeling more sad than usual and asking yourself "what's wrong with me?". Constantly on edge, waiting for something dreadful to happen.
Having a professional counsellor can help you to better understand your reactions and to discover helpful and healthy coping mechanisms.
As a person-centred counsellor, I work collaboratively with you and will offer you the space and time to explore and understand why you are feeing stuck, confused, anxious or low in mood and what it is you need or want to move forward with your life.
I have a special interest and experience of working with people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, workplace stress and trauma. One of the most important elements of counselling is the professional therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client. I offer a confidential space where we can work collaboratively and you will be listened to and not be judged.
In-person appointments are available in North Norfolk - North Walsham, Sheringham and Norwich.
If you would like to have a chat with me about what you are wanting from counselling and how we might work together, please do give me a call or send me a message and we can arrange a time that works for us both.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

When I work
My practice in North Walsham is open for in-person appointments on Wednesdays. I also offer appointments on different days and evenings in Sheringham and Norwich City Centre.
I have a counselling practice in North Walsham, Sheringham and Norwich where you can visit in-person, by appointment.
My North Walsham counselling practice is suitably located for you if you live in Mundesley, Aylsham and any of the surrounding villages.
Each practice is set up to provide you with a safe and comfortable space to take some time out for yourself, to look after your well-being and to figure out what's going on for you.
I also offer online counselling using Zoom if you are unable to get to me or you would simply prefer to be in the comfort of your own home. It is important that during counselling sessions you have a private space where you are able to speak freely.
Sadly, stigma still exists about counselling/psychotherapy/talking therapy - Simply put, there may be times in your life when you feel that you need some extra support and a space to unload and unburden yourself. That's where a professional counsellor comes in - supporting you through tough times.
There is also deeper work we can do together if you choose, working with historical trauma in a gentle way through talking, exploring and connecting with the here and now.
There is no time like the present - If you feel like you are struggling to make sense of what's going on in your mind or in your life, then please get in touch.
