About me

Hello and welcome.

This is a difficult time that we are all experiencing. I am still in practice and using mediums such as zoom, Skype, Whatsapp facetime and telephone. If you would like to book an appointment then do get in touch by email or by giving me a call on 07792051887.

Hello and welcome to my page. I am an experienced counsellor who can help you understand how you are feeling. Are you experiencing difficult feelings, or thoughts, are you feeling depressed or having anxious or intrusive thinking? If so, then maybe getting some help with a professional counsellor might be a way forward.

I know that making that first initial phone call to a counsellor can seem quite daunting. But if I can reassure you at this point, that I do understand at how this may feel. Therefore I am here to guide you as much as I can. I do hope that by reading through my profile that this will help you to gain the information that you may need to go ahead and make that first contact.

I offer counselling to Adult individuals, Teenagers and couples. My counselling room is a private and quiet space to where you are able to find out what is happening to you by talking about your thoughts and feelings. So you may be experiencing, anxiety, depression, or have you lost someone close to you. Or are you experiencing intrusive and unwanted thoughts. Are you being bullied at school or within the family? There are many reasons as to why we may choose to have counselling. And that is what i am here for and that is to help and support YOU! I hope that if you read further that this will enable you to have an informed decision to make that contact with me.

What counselling is:

Counselling is a place for you to talk about anything that is troubling you. This may involve Your emotions, Your thinking, and even Your behaviour. A place that is safe, confidential and non-judgemental and a place for you to be listened to and understood. It is also where time will be given to you for enablement of self reflection. A place to where you can be you.

Therefore it may be that deciding what is the best option for you on choice of what counsellor, may be confusing. Please feel free to contact me and I will help by answering any questions that you may have about counselling.

Below you will find a description of my training and qualifications, The types of areas of counselling that I work with, and the types of therapy that I can offer to you.

I will look forward to hearing from you.

Jo Ann

Past and present experience

My past experience within counselling has been with people just like you and although has been within a few agencies, my preference is now for your calls to come directly to me and for you to feel supported and secure upon arrival at my  private practice. I feel that working with you in my practice gives you a more personalized experience without having to speak to anyone else before you get to me.  My practice is open to all adults, teenagers and couples.

I attend regular counselling supervision, as this is a professional process that is required of me to maintain by both the NCS and BACP. This helps me to be the focused counsellor for you.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & psychotherapy. (MBACP) And a Member of the National counselling society with Accredited status. (MNCS..Accr'd)
