About me
I'm a CBT and EMDR therapist. I specialise in the treatment of OCD, phobias, PTSD, panic, agoraphobia, social anxiety, health anxiety, low self esteem, generalised anxiety disorder, and depression.
However, if you don't feel you fit into any of those headings don't worry, before working together we'll have a 10 minute 'phone call to discuss your difficulties and decide if a CBT approach or EMDR could help you.
CBT is a collaborative and goal-focused therapy during which you learn to recognise and express your feelings about events, describe and examine the thoughts taking place, and notice how these influence your behaviour.
Sometimes a person's difficulties are caused by a traumatic event and using EMDR helps clients identify and process these difficult experiences in a safe space, leading to positive psychological and behavioural change.
We'll review your progress throughout the work we do to make sure there is positive change and improvement to your well-being that's in line with your expectations.
I work face-to-face or by video call for those who prefer or for those who would have to travel a long way to attend face-to-face session.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
