Jessica Woods - Affordable and Discreet Counselling
I believe that well-being should be available to everyone so I offer counselling at an affordable price. This allows you to be able to continue therapy for a longer period; to really get to the core of the issue, give time to explore things thoroughly or just for a regular emotional check-up.
How Therapy can help
Life can sometimes be upsetting, confusing or disappointing, leaving you feeling distressed, angry or overwhelmed. It is not always easy to share with others especially if there is a fear of being judged or looking vulnerable. Counselling can offer a refuge to express your innermost worries to someone without an agenda. It aims to help you deal with and overcome issues that are causing emotional pain or making you feel uncomfortable. You will have the space and time to talk and explore difficult feelings. Our work together will empower you to discover insights into understanding problems and help you to make positive changes.
I work with an "integrative" system; drawing techniques from various theories so that you get a personal approach. You choose how you want to use the time, what you want to look at, whether you want practical tasks or talking, whether you want to lead or be directed.
Over time we will explore your thoughts and feelings together, perhaps working towards understanding a difficult situation or perhaps making a positive change to move forwards.
Depending on your preference long-term or short-term counselling is available for whatever works best for you. You may benefit from looking back at past events or you might prefer to make a goal orientated plan for the future.
Please state what your availability is so that I can try to offer you a convenient day and time.

Initial Assessment £40
On first meeting, I will ask you a few questions to get to know you a little and what you hope to achieve through therapy. The counselling room is a safe place where confidentiality and trust are paramount.
Subsequent Individual Sessions £30
Sessions are typically 50 minutes to one hour each, once a week and at the same day and time to provide consistency. I believe that counselling should not be prohibitively expensive and therefore offer a free session for clients who have attended five sessions after assessment.
Many providers charge extra for couples counselling even though the session is the same length of time as it is for a single client. I offer couples sessions for the same price.
Remote (telephone or Skype) £30
If you are too shy for face-to-face counselling or will find it difficult to come to the therapy centre due to the pressures of work, time restrictions etc.
Please pay for each session at least one day in advance by bank transfer so that I know to expect you.
