About me

There are lots of different counsellors out there, so I don’t want to bamboozle you with information, I know it’s overwhelming to try and pick one! So, I will try and keep mine brief. I am a qualified integrative counsellor with an office local to Banbury. I work with three different types of counselling, Person-centered, Gestalt and TA.

About me.

I Studied at the Banbury academy of counselling and have a level 4 diploma in counselling, I have been running my own private practice for nearly a year and have 2 years experience working for talking spaces plus. I also have experience in working with Aquarius drug and alcohol service with young people. I currently  work as an early help worker, working with whole families with any issues they may have.  My focus is on building a trusting and honest relationship with my clients, where you can come and be listened to and completely accepted for all that you are. I offer a safe place to discuss anything you may want to bring.

My work with you will be about curiosity and not judgement, to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I believe that in offering this you can get a new perspective and move forward with a new awareness of yourself. Is this what you are looking for?

I offer talking based therapy and encourage you to talk about you, your families and relationships. Your past, present and your hopes and desires for the future, I have experience in bereavement, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, relationship breakdowns, mental health problems and lots more. Many I have had personal experience of. I understand that it is difficult choosing someone you don’t know to talk to, and I take that seriously with compassion in our work together. I feel I am real and open and bring some humor to our relationship!

I value your confidentiality and respect your boundaries within our work together

I offer a free first session that is 40 Minutes, where we can meet and discuss what you feel you need from a counsellor and what I can offer you, we can explore goals and expectations and if you would like to work with me!

If from this you decide to work with me, we can arrange weekly sessions of 50 minutes, I charge a fee of £45, this is payable at the session (card payments accepted) I am a member of the BACP, I adhere to their ethical framework (this can be found on their website) I am fully insured, and DBS checked. I am also supervised regularly to ensure safety.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
