Dr Jessica McCarrick
07751 007418 / 07751 007418
Welcome, my name is Jess and I am a HCPC and BPS registered Counselling Psychologist providing services to adults and young people with a wide range of presenting issues in the local region.
I uphold a high standard of care in accordance with the British Psychological Society and Health Care Professions Council ethical and professional codes of conduct.
I have experience working in different settings, including the NHS, the independent sector and the third sector and have worked with people across the lifespan. I have worked with people with difficulties including depression, anxiety, bereavement, low mood, attachment difficulties, personality issues, childhood trauma, relationship difficulties, post-traumatic stress, body image issues, low self-esteem, self-harm, challenging behaviours and adjusting to physical health conditions. I have a particular interest in male mental health.
What I can offer
My background training includes a range of therapeutic models including cognitive behaviour therapy and integrative psychological therapy. I draw upon different psychological models and tailor this to the needs of the client in a timeframe which suits the individual.
I believe in the primary importance of developing a trusting, therapeutic relationship and I welcome you to have an initial telephone conversation with me so that you can decide if you would like to proceed further. If you decide to come for an initial appointment then this will be a chance for us to begin to understand your difficulties and think about what you would like to achieve through therapy. I endeavour to provide a safe and compassionate space for you to begin working towards your goals.
If you would like to discuss further then please feel free to ring me for a non-obligatory discussion.
