Are you feeling stuck, anxious or depressed? Having relationship, family, identity or work problems? Feeling 'too' sensitive or stressed?
Are you experiencing a loss of meaning, direction or sense of self? Perhaps you have been affected by loss or trauma that feels unresolved, or find yourself struggling with an eating disorder or addiction?
Whatever's on your mind, I will support you to make sense of it safely and to move forward with greater understanding and confidence.
A warm, intelligent and experienced Humanistic (Existential/Integrative) Psychotherapist, I offer effective short and long-term professional therapy to both individuals and couples from a lovely room near Chancery Lane Tube.
Why Have Therapy? Well, it can be an enormous relief to face troubling feelings. Quality therapy also helps us to understand ourselves more deeply, enabling positive change and identifying pathways to a more fulfilling and authentic future.
The Way I Work: Relaxed, genuine and accessible, I will listen to you closely, empathically and non-judgementally at all times, working to understand and reflect your unique experience in a direct and beneficial way.
My specialist areas include Depression and Anxiety; working with Gifted and High Achieving Adults (often from the Media, Medical, Financial, Academic and Legal professions); Bereavement; Somatic and High Sensitivity issues; Chronic Illness and Couple and Relationship Therapy.
I also work with generalised anxiety disorder; anger and rage; workplace bullying and burn out; childhood neglect and abuse (emotional and sexual); loneliness and isolation; eating and other emotional disorders; fatigue, health anxiety or chronic health problems; identity and adoption or parenting issues: LGBTQ, gender and sexuality issues; 'dissociation' (not feeling like yourself or distanced from yourself), loss of control and existential crises.
I am passionate about the benefits quality Therapy can offer, and provide open-ended individual weekly counselling sessions lasting 50 minutes, or 60 minutes for couples.
I take up regular professional development opportunities, have qualified supervision, and will always adhere to BACP guidelines of professionalism.
