About me
Anxiety can feel horrible at times. I know what that feels like. Do you find yourself struggling in social situations, thinking you look stupid, worrying about the future or things that havent happened, feeling completely overwhelmed and exhausted but no idea why? I am an Anxiety specialist based in Bournville, Birmingham and I can help you cope better with anxiety, to worry less and get you to understand that your thoughts are normal, leading to a more confident you. We are often told to just stop being anxious but you and I know that simply does not work! I can tell you that it is possible to cope better with anxiety. In my therapy we are in it together. I will support you, guide you, offer you validation and compassion at a time when you need it most. I will help you to manage and cope better with your anxiety and live a life with confidence despite feelings of anxiety.
My sessions are 50-60minutes long. I aim to use an approach (CBT) that involves some talking but mostly 'doing' in order to get us to create the changes needed to improve your life. It will typically involve 1-2 sessions of understanding your difficulties, followed by us identifying unhelpful patterns (that you have used to cope and survive), in which we then apply specific coping strategies to target those patterns helping you to become less overwhelmed.
Please get in touch via email or text message if you would like to book in a free 15 minutes call.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have 14 years of experience in working with people that have experienced struggles with how they feel. I currently work in the NHS offering psychological support to NHS staff that may be struggling both at work and outside of work. I can help you to cope better with anxiety so that you worry less, face situations rather than avoid them and start to live a more authentic life.
