Jessica Hughes PGDip Counselling (Integrative) MBACP
I feel passionately about the life-changing benefits counselling and the therapeutic relationship can have on an individual. As an integrative counsellor I aim to draw on a range of therapeutic ideas and tailor my approach to support the needs of the individual. There can be times when we feel unable to cope or that we do not have the resources to understand or make sense of the many life events and day to day stresses that come our way. I offer a space where you can feel listened to, understood and accepted in a non-judgemental environment.
I would describe my approach as ‘relational’ and I aim to be open, genuine and empathetic in the relationship which I believe is fundamental in harnessing change and greater self-awareness in the individual. Empowering and building the client’s own resources to feel better equipped with the challenges of life.
I am able to work with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma, loss & bereavement, family issues relating to childhood, self-esteem & self-image and low self-confidence.
As a qualified Integrative counsellor and member of the BACP I abide by the ethical framework as set out by the BACP Good Practice for counselling and psychotherapy.
