About me
Looking for a therapist who really listens and works with you to figure out what you need? I will provide you with you a confidential and safe space online and time to express yourself fully without fear of judgement from others. In our sessions, I'll help you understand what you're seeking from therapy and how to get there. Even if you're unsure how to explain your feelings but know you're unhappy with your choices or relationships, I'm here to help. Together, we’ll work through your emotions so you can make positive changes and feel like life is less of a struggle.
I’m a fully qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor, which means that I use a mix of proven therapy methods, starting with a person-centred approach. Depending on what works best for you, we might also draw from CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Psychoeducation. I will not baffle you with psychobabble, however I can show you practical and helpful techniques such as how to take control of feelings such as anxiety to stop them from overwhelming you. I can also include expressive arts (such as drawing and music) if that interests you.
If you are interested to see what working with me might be like, please get in touch to arrange your free 15 minute phone consultation. I will respond to you within 24 hours on weekdays, usually sooner.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

You may have a specific problem you want to deal with, or maybe it is not easy to describe. It could be a lost or stuck feeling. Would you like to make changes in your life but are not sure what that looks like or how to get there?
Do you experience strong emotions and you can’t quite put your finger on the cause?
Do you try hard to be “happy” but end each day feeling frustrated, deflated or disappointed?
Are you trying and failing to make healthy lifestyle choices and finding it really difficult to find the willpower to succeed?
Therapy will give you the space and time to gently explore how you really feel without fear of judgement. I am happy to have a 15 minute phone call free of charge to see if you think I may be able to help you.
