About me
Whatever you're feeling right now, it might be helpful to give yourself a chance to talk about what's on your mind. Working with a therapist can help you to find ways to live alongside whatever it is you're dealing with. Please let me know possible times to meet for an initial consultation in central Cambridge and we will find one that works.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have some understanding of the particular pressures that can be associated with living in Cambridge, often away from family support and important relationships, sometimes alongside issues around migration or with a sense of isolation. Some of the people I have worked with have come to therapy to talk about anxiety and depression having had experience of bereavement and other life-changing losses, abuse, chronic health problems, addiction, and loneliness.
Member organisations
Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
An initial appointment is £50 for 50 minutes, paid by bank transfer on the day. If after having had a chance to think about it, we decide to continue, we would meet for 50 minutes once a week, or more often, for as long as it is useful to you. We can have a conversation about what would be affordable for you, if you would need a concessionary rate, to make sure psychoanalytic psychotherapy is available to you.
