About me

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to visit my page and welcome. These are extremely difficult times for everyone as we adapt to a new and unusual way of living. Whatever has brought you here, rest assured I will do all I can to help you.

I am an experienced counsellor, offering weekly counselling sessions for adults on a short or long-term basis. Currently, I offer my services remotely through zoom but hopefully in the near future I will be looking to get back to face-to-face contact. My practice locations are in the West London districts of Chiswick and Clapham.

I can help and support you in difficult moments, offering a warm, welcoming, confidential and safe space that is only yours. You will feel understood, accepted and listened to, enabling you to find more clarity and strength in yourself.

I see the therapeutic space as an opportunity to take a new look at current difficulties, taking into account old and often unconscious issues in order to promote the awareness that leads to more harmonious functioning and more satisfactory relationships. I prioritise establishing a climate of trust in the therapeutic relationship where warmth and empathy are paramount. My experience also reaches to supporting young adults who seek to better understand their concerns and symptoms, which can be in the range of depression, relationship and family difficulties.

My practice is based on the Transactional Analysis model combining elements of an integrative and relational approach. This allows me to adapt to each person's needs and to work towards building a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

As well as my private work, I have also worked for several organisations as a counsellor. Currently, I work for CAPE, which is a charity based in the London Borough of Ealing for people who experience severe and enduring mental health needs. I value my role immensely seeing clients become free from negative thoughts and feelings is a real privilege.

Please contact me and we can have a brief conversation or exchange of emails. We can then arrange an initial session to get to know each other and find out whether the support I offer would be useful to you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a broad range of qualifications and have worked with a diverse range of clients in a variety of contexts. My professional qualifications include:

  • Middlesex University, MA Youth Justice, Community Safety & Applied Criminology
  • Metanoia Institute, Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counselling

I am fully insured, comply with GDPR and have all the above details available on request. My service is also bound by the code of ethics as set out by the BACP as such, all of our correspondence is treated in the strictest of confidence.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
