About me
Hi, thanks for having a look at my profile. I’m a caring, compassionate counsellor with many years experience in working with a wide variety of issues.
We all have core beliefs about ourselves, others and the world. These are largely inherited from our caregivers and significant adults in childhood. Whilst useful at first, these can really trip us up in later life.
I like to gently challenge your core beliefs, in order that you may perhaps find a different perspective which frees you up to navigate your life with less drama and anxiety. I do this by making minimal interventions as I believe listening and actually hearing you, is key.
In my practice, you can expect to be greeted with warmth and compassion at all times. We move at a gradual pace with our work - ‘gently does it’ is, I have found, the most helpful and valuable approach to the counselling process.
Whilst trained in transpersonal, integrative psychology, I like to refer to the PAC (Parent, Adult, Child Ego States) model from Transactional Analysis. Having undertaken much research and learning through experience, I have found this to be the most accessible and effective therapeutic tool for myself and my clients.
You may want to spend a few weeks or months in counselling, or you may only want a small, set number of sessions. It really is up to you, and how helpful you find working with me to be.
The space I work from will be set up to complement your counselling process, and this will be specific to your individual, therapeutic need.
I like to reach everyone if I can, so if the fee is a problem for you, let’s talk about it and see what we can agree.
See you soon.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
