About me
Jenny Dew is an Integrative Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist and the joint owner of the Green Door Clinic, as well as director and co-founder of Rebuild Your Life Ltd. She has extensive training both in the UK and in the United States. This has included training with various specialists including Dr Patrick Carnes and Dr Stefanie Carnes who specialise in working with couples and individuals in the treatment of trauma, which often manifests as addictive or compulsive behaviour
Jenny specialises in working with individuals and couples using an Integrated model of Psychotherapy which involves Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as well as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Therapy.
Jenny’s philosophy is to consider the person she is working with to be an equal partner in finding a solution to their difficulties. Techniques are used to increase awareness so that with time a better understanding is created to manage life imbalance. Psychotherapy involves regular sessions in a confidential setting using a combination of techniques to suit the individual needs. It is of the utmost importance that the therapeutic setting provides a safe place so that trust and confidentiality can be maintained.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
