About me

My name is Jen and I'm here to offer a warm, non-judgmental safe space for you to let go of your worries and start to embrace a brighter, happier future. Just deciding to embark on your therapy journey is a difficult decision so if you've made it and find yourself here... amazing! It's the first step and you can relax and know that I will walk alongside you, supporting your quest to heal.

Anxiety, Stress, Feeling like you don't belong in this world is a familiar feeling to me & I can fully empathise with feelings of alienation, despair and not good enough.  I'm proud to be able to offer my clients a sense of belonging, calm and serenity, to feel understood and heard. I have faced adversity in my own life & know that talking therapy can help you make sense of your feelings, emotions and empower you to make your own decisions.

If you are looking for a place of acceptance and affirmation, to feel truly heard and validated my aim is to help you experience that in my sessions. I offer a 15 minute call for us to briefly discuss how I can help and for you to decide whether we are a good fit for each other.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am fully qualified as a person-centred therapist and a registered member of the BACP.

I like to incorporate nature and surroundings in my sessions, where possible. This could involve walking in the countryside, a park, sitting by a river and letting the natural world its sights and sounds help along the therapeutic process or even just holding our online session outside, privacy permitting.

Of course regular sessions inside are available, whatever makes you feel comfortable to enable you to begin the change and to start letting go of the past.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
