About me

You have already become curious about your mental health, as you are looking here.

As an integrative counsellor I offer various therapies dependent upon what the individual client requires. We are all unique, and by using different therapies (e.g. CBT , Person Centred, Mindfulness, etc.) allows us to work in a way that supports your needs.

I worked with children and young people for 15 years, helping them through difficulties and recognising that childhood experiences often affect their adult lives, before I moved to work in the NHS. After working for 6 years within GP surgeries supporting the community with many mental health concerns, I currently work in Occupational Health supporting people within their work place, though still for the NHS.

My passion to understand mental health and support people has provided me with a broad experience both through my clinical work and education.

This has been an extraordinary time for everyone due to COVID 19. It may have heightened mental health concerns that already existed for you, or you may have found yourself experiencing them for the first time in your life. Working via telephone or video allows us to work together without geographical or logistical restrictions, in a Covid Safe way.

This is the beginning of you understanding your emotional and psychological self to enable you to manage the sometimes unpredictable path of life. Allow me to help you through this process and together we can unravel your conscious and unconscious self from both the past and present.

If you are interested in seeing your world from a different view point then contact me to discuss what I can offer to help you do this.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
