About me
I am a couples/ relationship therapist and I also work with individuals.
In my couples/ relationship work, I offer a supportive space in which to develop positive communication skills and an environment where all parties can be respectfully heard and understood. I work with issues such as affairs, conflict, intimacy issues or support with ending relationships. All relationship dynamics are welcome.
Therapy feels good and satisfying but it can be hard work and the process can feel bumpy and frustrating at times which is why it is my job to create an environment that offers safety, consistency, genuine care and strong emotional support with as much or as little guidance and practical input from me depending on your needs.
I strive to offer every individual client the help and support you need, as we are all different, we will review and adjust our approach accordingly as we journey through the process. I have a collaborative approach to the work, I invite and welcome feedback as we will be two humans in a room working together to figure things out. I will also offer guidance and support if I am not able to give you the help you require.
My aim to help you make lasting changes and embed your own 'inner therapist' to help you move through the world with greater ease and empowerment long after our work is done.
A little about me and my journey into the world of therapy;
I started training as a counsellor seven years ago and I have been working with clients for three years in a drug and alcohol recovery centre, and now private practice.
I have embedded a strong academic foundation and I am dedicated to the continual sharpening of my skillset and own personal development.
I have witnessed the power of therapy assist friends, colleagues clients and myself. I don't have a magic wand and I can't make problems disappear, I can't dissolve tough emotions but I can help you increase your tolerance and feel ok with not being ok. Your external world won't change but your view of it might.
I hope this introduction has been helpful, please feel free to call email or text me if you have any further questions or would like to book in an assessment, I look forward to hearing from you!

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
