I currently offering a FREE assessments.
I run my own counselling practice, Serenity Counselling Practice. My name is Jennie and I am a fully qualified, registered counselling therapist. I work with adults and teenagers on a one to one basis. Seeking a counsellor is a very personal and important choice as you want to find someone that can allow you to feel comfortable and safe enough to discuss and explore your thoughts and feelings.
As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, you can feel reassured that I adhere to its professional guidelines at all times. This includes continuously developing myself and my practice through guidance and training.
Here at Serenity, I offer a professional, confidential and empathic practice. I believe that in order for me to be able to support and help my clients they have to feel safe, comfortable, listened to, valued and never judged. I will metaphorically “walk beside you” during your counselling journey.
I have experienced being the client through my career journey so fully appreciate how it feels to be searching for the right therapist. I am aware that you may be feeling a mixture of emotions especially if you have never received counselling before. Let me assure you that any feelings that arise are perfectly normal and I have felt them too.
I offer counselling to employers/employees aiming to support, develop and motivate individuals to their fullest potential and to create a happier, healthier workplace. I cover a wide range of topics such as: low self confidence, low self esteem, depression, stress, work\life management, illness and bullying.
I also deliver workshops and run training sessions on the following:
- Communication and building/maintaining better customers relationships.
- Increasing confidence and self esteem.
- Stress management.
These workshops can be tailored to suit the needs and demands of the business.
I am also trained in mindfulness which is something I often use with my clients. It’s a way of allowing ourselves to stop for a moment and reconnect with what is going on around us taking in the sight, sounds and smells in the moment. It is about bringing an awareness of our thoughts and feelings as they happen in the moment. I am able to offer visualisation and mediation techniques in my sessions.
I am experienced and trained in working with many different concerns.
