Jenny Colls MA, UKCP Reg.
I offer brief and longer term psychotherapy, coaching and supervision and have been in practice since 1985.
Many of my clients arrive because they recognise they are suffering with a generalised anxiety, feeling fed up or depressed or they are having relationship problems, either at home or at work. Many of us need a safe place to untangle our anxieties, relax enough to see the wood for the trees and feel supported to work through whatever is troubling us. In this way we can understand ourselves and others better and develop insight into our behaviour. Dare I say this can lead to happiness, fulfilment and creativity.
My intention is to support people to find and trust their own wisdom and creativity, to discover and learn from the immediacy of their experience. In this way I hope to foster the client's truth and authentic way of being with themselves and others. I may invite people to become more aware of visible and invisible, helpful and unhelpful patterns of behaviour and so achieve more choices in their personal lives and work. This can free us from old unhelpful behaviours such as those that lead to anxiety, depression, relationship problems, unhappiness at work, illness, etc.
I specialise in individual and group supervision. My intention is to provide a safe confidential place where professionals and those whose role it is to care and support others to also be supported in their work and develop their confidence and competence.
My background was in the NHS and Social Services. I trained as a Gestalt practitioner in the early 1980s. Since then specialised trainings have include Supervision, Family and Systemic Constellations and Brief Therapy so my work is now an integration of training, experience, life, and learning from my clients. I am currently exploring mindfulness, meditation and spirituality.

I have been in practice for about 30 years both freelance and alongside the NHS. I designed and ran a psychotherapy service for GPs in the East Midlands. I now work in Devon with individuals and groups both as a psychotherapist and supervisor. I work with individuals and groups as a supervisor. As a Gestalt practitioner I am informed by field phenomena as well as bringing awareness to the intra, inter and whole group processes. I believe that supervision groups are a wonderful and enjoyable place to share skills and insights and grow in confidence and creativity.
