Jennifer Campbell Kirk ~ Reg.HCPC
Hi, I'm Jennifer, a HCPC Registered therapist based in Cardiff.
If your child’s referral was rejected by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) or maybe you are still on the waiting list, or if your child is feeling sad or suffering from anxiety and panic and you are worried about your child and uncertain of where to turn... I can help.
As a registered therapist, I am able to offer therapy online so your child can get the help they need regardless of where you live. There is no need to travel to a clinic or take your child out of school for appointments, your child can get the help they need in the comfort of your own home.
Waiting for you child to be seen by CAMHS can often be frustrating and for many children their mental health deteriorates, this is why I decided to offer assessments and treatments online quickly to stop children from suffering.
I offer a creative Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach alongside mindfulness and many patients are discharged after 6-8 sessions. If you prefer appointments in person, I offer a private clinic in Cardiff which is easily accessible if you live in the surrounding areas such as Bridgend.
Sometimes it can be difficult to ‘persuade’ your child to see a private therapist, and that’s not a problem. I also offer a consultation to parents. Sometimes it helps just to talk to someone about your worries and pick up strategies and tools to try at home with your child - I am here to help so please do give me a call.
