Jeanette Chambers MBACP Psychotherapist integrating hypnotherapy & supervisor
As a qualified and experienced counsellor and supervisor I offer a safe and warm environment for you to speak without judgement or criticism. Life is hard at times things happen, circumstances change and this can create difficulties for us such as bereavement, loss, relationship problems, separation, divorce, work issues, family issues, loneliness and illness. Depression, anxiety or feelings of being overwhelmed can be the result of these and many other difficulties. It is not easy at times to speak with family members or friends about these difficulties. I have a true belief that people have the ability and resources to find their own way through their difficulties when they are given the opportunity to explore their thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental, safe, comfortable and respectful environment.
In addition to providing confidential support to individual private clients, I also work as a psychotherapist for a local hospice. I specialise in working with patients who have life limiting illnesses.
I Integrate hypnotherapy within my practice.
I have experience in working at a women's centre where the focus of my client work was domestic abuse and troubled family work. I have experience working with bereavement along with depression, anxiety OCD'S and phobias. Working with dreams, nightmares, recurring nightmares and waking images is also an area I am very practiced in. I use a technique called image rehearsal therapy this is extremely successful with both children and adults.
I believe it is essential for therapists who are providing emotional care for clients to have access to their own resources for support. Supervision is an important part of taking care of oneself and having reflective time is part of that process. This reflective space can be supportive, challenging and creative. I am transparent and responsive in my approach and my supervision is offered at the highest ethical standard to keep both you and your clients safe.

MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
