About me

Hello, and welcome. My name is Jayne and I'm the founder of Inspire Therapy.

Why work with me?....
My private practice is called Inspire Therapy because I felt inspired to help people to become the best versions of themselves. I'm an experienced counsellor and specialise in Anxiety and Depression, Grief and loss, Trauma and PTSD, Relationships, Self Esteem and Confidence Building, OCD and Intrusive Thoughts, ADHD and Anxiety Disorder and Work Place Anxiety.

I understand you might be nervous about starting counselling. That's why I offer an initial 20 minute consultation so you can decide if I'm the right therapist for you. You can also visit my website https://www.inspire-therapy.co.uk to find out more and view testimonials from clients I've worked with.

Understanding why you're here...
Are you feeling really overwhelmed with life? Feeling sad, stressed out, and fearful of the future? Are you struggling to get through the day without fearing the worst and needing reassurance?  This can make us feel hopeless and alone with our thoughts. This may be affecting your relationships, work, or your overall well being.   As a human being, It's common to feel stuck, and let negative thoughts affect you. You may need help to challenge these thoughts, find a healthier way of thinking, and find some coping strategies.

How I can help.....
Through my own experiences with trauma and grief and loss I can empathise and relate to how you feel. Together, in a non judgemental safe space, I'll be right beside you as we look at how these feelings affect you, and build a therapeutic relationship. I work with adults and older children in a private practice and use different models of therapy depending on your needs and goals. I can work with you to explore your thoughts and feelings so you can gain self awareness and a clearer understanding of yourself.  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy will help you to understand how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours are interconnected and how changing one can impact the others.

I also offer Walk and Talk therapy.  Walk and Talk Therapy is all about combining mindfulness and counselling, but this is done in the great outdoors, so the session is less formal.  Some of my clients find this beneficial as they rarely get the opportunity to release those healthy endorphins which also helps us when we're feeling anxious and plays a crucial role in regulating our mood, sleep and digestion.

Have a great day,

Jayne x

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
