About me
Do you have difficulties with relationships or unresolved trauma, or suffer with anxiety or depression?
I have a wide range of experience and am passionate about supporting people, whether this is in crisis, bereavement, relationship difficulties, trauma, specific issues or for self-development. I have a number of years of experience working with many different issues, including depression and anxiety, and have additional training for working with trauma.
Would you like somewhere safe to explore how you feel?
I provide a safe, confidential space for clients to explore themselves and their concerns. I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate and am fully insured.
Tried counselling before and it didn't work for you?
Counselling is dependent on a good relationship being built between therapist and client but sometimes other forms of therapy can be beneficial, I also offer Equine Therapy which is particularly good for attachment issues, emotional regulation, resilience, PTSD, ASD, ADHD and more.
I am trained in Integrative Counselling, which means that I can draw from different approaches to suit your needs. The approaches I predominantly use are Psychodynamic, Attachment and relational based, including working with the body. I believe that our relationship is just as important as what we talk about and my training.
Our past greatly impacts on our present and therefore shapes our future. Relationships, our experiences and our environment all add up to who we are today and it is through awareness that we can gain insight, and through insight, we can create change and positively influence the future.
I believe that emotional trauma happens as a result of poor relationships and it is through an alternative relationship, i.e. the counselling relationship, that healing can and does occur. Theory I have learned informs my practice but it is the relationship that is the vehicle for change.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
