About me

I am a fully trained Psychoanalyst who previously trained as a Psychodynamic Counsellor. I can offer once a week to five times a week work with adults.

I work with people with a great variety of issues who wish to understand the nature of their difficulties and who wish to know themselves. This process is usually more effective over long-term work, although I am also able to offer short term work too.

The training I have undergone involves working with people at depth and attempting to arrive at not only the origin of the difficulties, but also to reduce the impact of the issues upon their relationships, work and life.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • BSc, PGCE.
  • Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (WPF)
  • Professional training in Psychoanalysis (British Psychoanalytic Association)
  • Member of The British Psychoanalytic Association
  • Member of The International Psychoanalytic Association

I first trained as a Psycho dynamic Counsellor and worked in a variety of settings - counselling agencies and psychotherapy units.

I then embarked on a deeper Psychoanalytic training whilst working in a practice in London. I now have my own private practice.

I have had over 17 years experience in total, first as a Counsellor and then a Psychoanalyst.

I am also able to offer supervision to professionals and trainees.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
