About me

I am an accredited Cognitive behaviour Therapist with 22 years experience.

I began training in 1994 at the Institute of Psychiatry, London and have specialist experience in working with Anxiety and Depression along with extensive expertise in the treatment of Post traumatic Stress Disorder. In addition to being an accredited practitioner in Cognitive behaviour Therapy I am also trained in the use of Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and have extensive experience of psychological treatments for military personnel and police officers. I have expertise in providing CBT to those who experience Chronic and Widespread pain, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Health Anxiety individually, in groups and by telephone.

I also have a teaching qualification and have offered education and training within my area of expertise at Diploma and Degree level for The University of South Australia, University of Ulster and Kings College, London. I also facilitate specialist skills training in Cognitive behaviour Therapy.

I also provide regular supervision to fellow professionals, students and trainees.

British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists.

BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
