About me

Do you feel stressed, worthless, anxious, but cant work out why? In crisis, unable to cope or just need someone to talk to and listen to you? I can help. Counselling can help you make sense of what is happening in your life, can support you through difficult and traumatic times and give you the resources to live a happy and fulfilling life.

Counselling involves talking to someone who is trained to listen and is outside your family and friends. It gives you the space and place to explore your thoughts, feelings and concerns and work on things that are important to you in a private and confidential setting, enabling choice or change.

I believe that every individual has their own internal resources for growth and change and when a counsellor offers the core conditions of congruence, unconditional positive regard and empathy, then therapeutic movement will take place. You will not be told how to think, feel or what to do, but you will be helped and supported in finding your own answers.

I am an experienced qualified integrative counsellor/therapist, which means that I can offer different ways of working to suit your individual needs, including CBT. I am a registered member of the BACP, therefore adhere to their good practice and ethical frame work. I can provide counselling for most issues, needs and ages. I also provide supervision for counsellors.

I provide a safe, non judgmental, confidential environment to allow you to explore and resolve your issues.

Please feel free to contact by email or phone and we can discuss your needs and the best path for you to take.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
