About me

My name is Jayne Daniels; I am a Counsellor, psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. I am an experienced qualified integrative counsellor/therapist, which means that I can offer different ways of working to suit your individual needs, including CBT, person centered and psycho dynamic.

Counselling can help you make sense of what is happening in your life, can support you through difficult and traumatic times and give you the resources to live a happy and fulfilling life.

Counselling involves talking to someone who is trained to listen and is outside your family and friends. It gives you the space and place to explore your thoughts, feelings and concerns and work on things that are important to you in a private and confidential setting, enabling choice or change.

I believe that every individual has their own internal resources for growth and change and when a counsellor offers the core conditions of congruence, unconditional positive regard and empathy, then therapeutic movement will take place. You will not be told how to think, feel or what to do, but you will be helped, guided and supported in finding your own answers and solutions to move forward in your life.

I am a registered member of the BACP, therefore adhere to their good practice and ethical frame work. I can provide counselling for most issues, needs and ages. I also provide supervision for counsellors.

I provide a safe, non judgemental, confidential environment to allow you to explore and resolve your issues.

Please feel free to contact by email or phone and we can discuss your needs and the best path for you to take.

The first initial session would be for up to 30 minutes, is strictly confidential and there is no charge for this.

'ONE OFF' sessions are also available for up to 2 hours

There is no limit to the number of sessions, this will be your own  choice, to suit your needs.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
