Jason Oddi BACP & CoSRT
Jason Oddi, Dip In. Coun., PG Dip. In Psychosexual Psychotherapy
Welcome, How can I help?
15 years ago I began a journey into the world of mental health by retraining as an Integrative Counsellor. I specialised in adoption support whilst working for the post-adoption centre (PAC) and after working within the NHS and other charities.
My career expanded to add specialisms in Psychosexual therapy and Couples / Marriage guidance and I have supported clients to reflect, heal and transition ever since.
Counselling sessions are held in warm and comfortable rooms in Mornington Crescent, Camden, Central London NW1 & London Bridge, SE1, and Brighton BN1. Sessions can also be held via Skype after an initial consultation.
I recognise experiences come at us thick and fast as adults. Sometimes these experiences and the feelings they generate can be manageable, but at other times the feelings can be overwhelming. I am here to support you through these difficult times, working together so you can stretch into a new and empowered life which meets your desires.
Sessions are held in warm and confidential counselling rooms.
Psychosexual Counselling / Sex Therapy
Psychosexual therapy supports clients to process any sexual or sensual concerns that are embodied within the mind, body or sexual energy. These concerns may be affecting ones sexual or sensual performance, health and desire.
Sexual identity, desire, shame and relationships are probably the most common issues that clients work through with me.
Sexual abuse, sex addiction, porn addiction, infidelity (cheating), intimacy and avoidance, low and hypo-libido, premature/retarded ejaculation, erectile dysfunctions and many others are all presenting issues that are also very common, and treatable without medical intervention.
I work with couples to find common ground with their on-going relationship issues. We work towards re-building bridges and re-defining communications skills. I aid couples to hear each others wants and needs and support them to transition into a new relationship landscape that they BOTH wish for.
Sex is usually the first casualty of the relationship and can lead to complete shutdown between a couple.
Other common presenting issues are:
- Lack of intimacy
- Misuse of erotic imagery (porn addiction)
- Sex coaching/education
Integrative Counselling is a model that weaves the attributes of many models of therapeutic support to aid the client in their process from distress back to wellness. General Anxiety Disorders (GAD), Stress, depression, low self-esteem, family and relationship issues are common symptoms that occur when we do not feel good about ourselves.
How your appointments are structured:
- The first session is a consultation to talk through any questions that you may have about the therapeutic pathway, the way I work and the issues that are concerning you.
- Sessions can then be held weekly, moving on to fortnightly. The number of sessions will vary depending on your needs.
- Sessions can be conducted in person or via Skype.
- Call or email for an appointment
