About me

Psychodynamic counsellor offering individual counselling and psychotherapy, over short, medium and long term periods. Also offer clinical supervision, group facilitation and training.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Degree in Psychology
  • PG Diploma in Residential Therapeutic Care
  • PG Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling

With over 20 years experience of working in therapeutic environments, ranging from schools, colleges and university, to residential care homes, youth clubs and in private practice. I have experience of working with clients of various ages and backgrounds, individually, in groups and on line. I have also been employed to teach and train various work groups, and am a therapeutic organisational consultant.

I have been employed as a tutor and personal development group facilitator at Leicester University on various counselling training courses. I also mentor senior associate members of APPCIOS.

I am a registered member of BACP and work within their ethical framework.

I am a senior member of APPCIOS - the Association for Psychodynamic Practice and Counselling In Organisational Settings - and am a member, registered as a psychodynamic organisational therapist, of the British Psychoanalytic Council. I sit on the BPC's Professional Standards Committee.

I offer a free assessment session, and following this each 50 minute session is £40. I have some reduced fee places for students, trainee counsellors and those on a low wage. Supervision costs, individual and small groups, can be discussed - please contact me for further details.
