Hello and welcome to my profile.
I know that asking for help is often a challenge for a lot of people and want to acknowledge this and applaud your courage. By taking these next steps we can find a way to help you find peace of mind and develop a toolkit to cope in the future.
I believe that, through the counselling process, you can find the answers you are looking for and I am here to offer you the support and guidance, in a non judgemental way, to do so.
I am able to work long term or short term, depending on your needs and can also offer telephone counselling although an initial set up, face to face session is required.
I offer a free and confidential telephone consultation. This is often a good chance to find out a bit about counselling and how it works as well as decide if you would like to book an initial appointment. The initial assessment session offers you the chance to meet me and find out about the process and whether it feels like a good fit for you before committing. This session is at a reduced rate of half the fee.

Counsellor at Emotional Support for Carers 2012 - 2016
I provide counselling to support carers from all walks of life to cope with their caring role. This often focuses on feelings of isolation and loss although other issues may arise which I am able to approach using a range of therapeutic interventions due to my training as an integratively trained counsellor. I work in a time-limited, solution-focused way within this charity and often find that although the underpinning of the work is psychotherapeutic, it is delivered in a person-centred way using cognitive-behavioural techniques.
Surrey Drug and Alcohol Care
I provide one to one counselling to people who are experiencing difficulties with addiction and would like to address this issue in their lives. Addiction can be a complex and difficult issue to tackle but through understanding how a person relates to the addiction and substance can often help to learn different ways to cope and behave. Again, as with before, I am able to do this using both a psycho-therapeutic approach combined with CBT which I have found to have a good success rate.
Private Practice
I provide face to face counselling for a range of issues and difficulties such as anxiety, depression, stress and many others. This process is often like an archeological dig, uncovering the layers that often make up the belief systems we have in place that are preventing us from accessing out full potential and happiness. Once we have established these beliefs we can work toward changing them and elevating the symptoms that are making life tough.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I offer a no obligation, free and confidential telephone consultation so that you can ask any questions you have about me and the counselling process.
I offer a half price first session which allows people to come and see if 'we fit' and ask questions about the process and counselling. This costs £25.
My fixed fee per session is £55.
