About me
I am a fully qualified Person-Centred therapist who has been working for 7 years as a counsellor in both private practice and in an employee assistance programme.
I am also a fully qualified teacher and have worked with additional support needs pupils for 5 years and so I have a good understanding of neuro-diversity and the barriers facing clients who have disabilities.
I specialise in using creative arts as a means to unlock feelings and emotions to help clients process difficulties in their lives.

- I have worked for Marie Curie as a bereavement counsellor, AXA PPP Healthcare as a telephone counsellor and been an affiliate for PAM Group supporting clients with issues such as loss, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, trauma, work-related stress and personal growth.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I offer a free 30 minute chat with prospective clients to see if therapy is the best way forward and to see if you feel we can work together.

I offer 50min appointments starting from 6pm. Last appointment would be 9pm.
Further information
I have experience of working with young people in crisis within a charity organisation called SMILE in Livingstone (ages 16-24yrs) and also work as a teacher in the ASN sector. I teach art & design and use art to help pupils and clients express things which may be difficult to talk about.
