I am a person-centred counsellor, with the ability to use CBT in the short term. Being person centred means that I believe in an equal relationship between the therapist and the client, and that we will work together with empathy, a non-judgemental approach and a genuine wish to build resilience.I work with issues such as addiction, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, low self-confidence and stress.
I believe that everyone has answers, but may need help to find them.
Short and long term work is offered.
I am down to earth and realise that a sense of humour can be useful in the healing process.
After an initial meeting to see if we are suitable to work together, sessions will be 50 minutes.
I work within the BACP code of ethics, which can be found online.
