Janeine Anne Bannister Registered Counselling Psychologist, AFBPsS, MBACP
I am a HCPC Registered Counselling Psychologist (trained to Doctoral level) and Chartered Psychologist. I am also a qualified Counsellor. I have extensive experience working with children, teenagers and adults, having worked within the mental health field for over 20 years.
Since qualifying as a Psychologist, I have gained over 11 years experience of working within NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, within both community and forensic settings. I also have substantial experience working with adults with a very wide range of presenting issues. I have worked within inpatient services including acute mental health wards and psychiatric intensive care units, with children, young people and adults.
I work primarily from a Person-Centred therapeutic approach, integrating Cognitive-Behavioural strategies as appropriate. Sessions are tailored to individual needs and I am flexible in terms of appointment times offered and frequency of sessions.
I am passionate about my work and dedicated to offering a safe relaxing space for clients to explore their concerns openly without judgement.
Short and long term therapy is available.
I practice from home in a designated room which is relaxing and tranquil (no stairs required). My house is situated in a quiet residential part of Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.
There is a large free car park next door to my house.
I have full professional liability insurance and Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information.
I hope I can be of help to you.
