About me

Hello and welcome to my page.  I am an experienced and qualified counsellor and mental health mentor.  I recognise that part of being human is that we all experience difficulties and challenges in our life. When life is hard it can feel really difficult to cope alone and we all need someone we can trust to talk to. We can experience feelings of anxiety, panic, difficulties in relationships, at work, feelings of loss, bereavement, depression and stress. 

I hold a BA (Hons) in Integrative Relational counselling.  This means that I am able to work in a way which is individual to you.  I offer both short and long term counselling for couples, adults and adolescents. I work from a light and airy garden room and provide a safe and nurturing space where you can explore and express your feelings, concerns and worries. I will support and encourage you in a non-judgemental environment where you can work towards overcoming your difficulties.

I work with people on a wide range of mental health issues big and small.  If you think you could benefit from talking things through with someone, please contact me knowing it is in full confidence.

I am a professionally qualified Counsellor/Psychotherapist working with both individuals and couples face-to-face and on Skype in the Surrey area.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

How to get started.

You might be wondering how to make the first move and get started with counselling:

First step: Call me or email me to set up an initial session

Second step: We will meet and talk about how you are feeling about counselling and what you hope to get out of counselling

Third step: if you are happy to continue and we feel we are the right people to work together we will set up the next session and will then meet weekly (duration of contract will be discussed in first session and will be reviewed). Each weekly session will be 50 minutes.


Availability changes regularly but I offer appointments Monday to Friday; daytime and evening. I also offer Saturday morning appointments.

Further information

Face to face counselling is preferred but telephone and Skype counselling can be considered.
