Jane Steele Registered Member MBACP
Hello, my name is Jane and thank you for visiting my profile.
I am a Registered Member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) working within their ethical framework and have been qualified for 12 years.
I have lots of experience working with adults and young people in a variety of settings including GP surgeries, schools and for several local charities but now work within my own private practice.
I offer confidential, professional and empathic counselling in Oundle to individual adults and young people aged 16 and above. I normally recommend one session per week, with each session being 50 minutes. Counselling can be short, medium or long term depending on each person's needs.
I work in a warm, compassionate and non judgemental way and will tailor our work together to help you achieve what you want and need from your sessions with me. I can help you discover how past experiences may be influencing the way you think, feel and behave and help you to explore, and break, any patterns of behaviour that may be causing difficulties in your life now. I can also provide you with various techniques and methods that can help you with any distressing symptoms you experience (for example stress, panic, anxiety, sleeplessness) and help you become more aware of how your experiences may be affecting you physically as well as emotionally.
In addition to talking during your sessions it is possible to do other activities such as writing, painting and drawing which can help you express yourself in a different way.
As part of my continuing professional development I regularly attend training courses and workshops in order to further enrich, develop and enhance my work.
Please telephone, text or email me to arrange a chat before booking your first appointment. I look forward to hearing from you.
