About me

I work with clients who are experiencing a wide range of issues. I have particular experience relating to anxiety, depression, trauma, work-related stress, low self-esteem and relationship issues.  The support that I offer can be longer term or time limited. Through the therapeutic relationship that we build, I will listen with empathy and provide you with a safe environment to explore what you bring to each session.

I offer a safe and confidential space that will enable us to explore the challenges that you face.  You will have an opportunity to both hear and understand yourself.  My response will be empathic and without judgement. Through this supportive relationship, you will be encouraged to explore the issues that have brought you to counselling and as we work together you will be encouraged to develop life skills to use in your future journey.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a post graduate diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Aberdeen.

I have also trained as an integrative therapist and have experience of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I have completed an 80 hour certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling with Counselling Tutor that is recognised by the BACP and the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online.

I am a registered member of the BACP and abide by their code of ethics

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
