About me

I am  a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist with specialisms in OCD, generalised anxiety disorder (excessive worry) and Phobias, I have experience and qualifications working with children and adults and also can offer parenting support as i am fully qualified in Webster Stratton incredible years program. I also offer group therapy for worry, panic and weight management.

I am a qualified EMDR (eye movement desensitisation reprocessing) therapist, an effective treatment for PTSD

I am a qualified dialectical Behaviour therapist and can support people with emotional regulation difficulties and whom may engage in risk taking behaviours

Other disorders i work with using CBT are:

depression, anxiety disorders such as health anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), phobias (of any kind) hoarding and low self esteem.

Currently I can offer services from your home or from a clinic.
I charge per session rather than hour, please contact me via email or mobile (txt or call) if you would like to discuss treatment.
Evening and weekend  appointments are charged extra. Some evenings currently have a waiting list. Email for further info.

I am a fully qualified EMDR therapist. I can treat Ptsd with this specialism however it also works with a number of other disorders. Please get in touch or visit the EMDR association for further info on this treatment.
** please note, I am unable to specify the amount of sessions required for EMDR. It all depends on the level of trauma and number of traumas. However 16 is recommended**

Prices vary for EMDR sessions and each session is usually 60-90 minutes depending on what we are working on that session.

I will complete a therapy contract with you at the end of your assessment which details costs and terms and conditions. This will cover short notice cancellations and missed appointments.

I regularly attend BABCP training on OCD, PTSD, GAD. I attend work shops on CBT and EMDR to help enhance my skills.

I have been working in mental health since 2004, I started work as a wellbeing practitioner in 2004 working with children and families in CAMHS st Helens (NHS) I then moved into adult work, working in the NHS again but the psychological therapies service. I am currently working in CAMHS Tuesday to friday and offer private therapy mondays and evenings. I have been fully qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist since 2010

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists.

BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
