About me
As a qualified counsellor registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, I bring a warm, conversational, and collaborative approach to my practice. With a belief in tailoring my methods to suit each client’s needs, this means I have a person-centred foundation and then include CBT to understand thoughts and behaviours, and psychodynamic approaches to explore internalised beliefs and past events.
I am committed to helping clients develop a greater understanding of themselves and of the challenges they are bringing. Seeking help is a positive step, and I am dedicated to collaborating with clients to form new perspectives and find inner resilience.
Through careful reflection and exploration, I aim to help clients gain insight, and identify their strengths and resources to find a way forward. Above all, I provide a confidential space for clients to express themselves.
With online and telephone sessions available, counselling can fit into your life wherever you have access to a confidential space. Taking the first step towards counselling takes courage, but together, we can navigate through your journey towards healing and growth.
Areas I have experience of working with are bereavement and loss, menopause, adverse childhood experiences, historical trauma, living with cancer, relationship problems, and anxiety.
My membership with the NCPS means I abide by their code of ethics and have regular clinical supervision.
