About me
Making the decision to start therapy isn't an easy one and for that reason I try to offer a warm, safe and caring environment where you can feel relaxed. My style is conversational and down to earth. However, in our work I will draw from an array of different theories and ideas from the fields of traditional psychoanalysis and contemporary psychodynamic theory, developmental research, psychology and existential philosophy.
How I Work
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor. I have significant experience of working with the effects of trauma, depression, loss, anxiety, ageing, addiction, dementia, bereavement, eating disorders, relationship, anger-management and self-esteem problems.
I see clients at Barnsbury Therapy Rooms, near Upper Street, N1 (close to Angel and Highbury & Islington tube stations) or at my home in Highbury (close to Arsenal or Finsbury Park tube stations).
Our Initial Session
The first assessment session will last 60 minutes.
During this time I will ask questions so that we can get a sense of what has brought you to seek psychotherapy or counselling at this time. We can explore your expectations and goals, any anxieties, and other questions you may have. We will also discuss the possible length of the therapy or counselling and I will explain my policy regarding confidentiality and fees.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at Regent’s College School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology, one of the UK's leading training institutions which is known for its rigorous professional and academic standards.
I am accredited by The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
In addition to my private practice I used to work in the voluntary sector where I had over 17 years of experience supporting people for organisations such as Mind, Age UK and Victim Support. I previously qualified as a Life Coach after a career in business.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
