Jane Casey MBACP (Accred), RGN

One thing that is certain in life is that it will change. Some change is of our own making, and is exciting and fulfilling.
But sometimes change is forced upon us by circumstances not of our choice- emotionally, financially, socially or physically.
Are you struggling? Wondering what is the point? Feeling like giving up?
Or anxious, frustrated, frightened, angry? Feeling that life is unfair.
I am keen to work with anyone who wants to find a way forward in their present situation.
I have a special interest in working with anyone adjusting to the effects of physical illness following an acute episode or ongoing chronic difficulties whether themselves or of someone close.
I also work with those bereaved, those coping with stress at work or at home.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have CPCAB qualifications:
Level 2 and 3 Certificates in Counselling Skills and Theory
Level 4 diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
Level 5 in CBT Theory and Skills.
I also have an RGN qualification, this nursing background has given me insight into how our physical health can affect our mental health and vice versa.
My experience includes working in a variety of caring roles.
I am an integrative counsellor working in my own intuitive way from a fundamentally Person centred approach but incorporate understanding of other theories, philosophical and spiritual dimensions and CBT skills.
I am an experienced Accredited Counsellor

Counselling is a process which can last different lengths of time depending on your individual needs. Our first meeting will be about building our working relationship and providing a safe environment in which you feel comfortable. We can then discuss your individual needs - whether you want just a few sessions or something longer term, that cannot be provided on the NHS.
Life is not a problem to be solved but a reality to be experienced
