About me

Would you like to feel calmer, more confident, resilient or better about yourself or your relationships? However you are struggling, I offer you the opportunity to work it through. Initial free 30 mins to explore if counselling could help you and if I am the right counsellor for you.

I offer you warmth and understanding, without judgement. I may be able to help you to:

  • make sense of your situation
  • understand yourself, your experiences and behaviour patterns more fully
  • manage anxiety, low mood, motivation or self esteem
  • identify more rewarding ways of doing things and build resilience
  • work through relationship difficulties and identify recurring patterns
  • find your own answers, solutions and support you to develop a new perspective on your life
  • identify any changes you may want to make and be supported to make them
  • develop what you need to live your life more fully and fulfil your potential
  • feel better about yourself and your life

Working with you, I will ………..

  • accept you, as you are
  • offer a calm, safe, unbiased and confidential place
  • work alongside you, on an equal footing and at your pace
  • help you identify what is troubling you or what it is you want
  • help you to focus on what's most important to you

At the outset you may know exactly what you want or what is troubling you; or you may feel anxious, distressed or confused or angry and want to work out why, the reasons may emerge through our work together.

You can develop a greater understanding of yourself and your experiences by exploring your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. We may uncover important beliefs that underpin the way in which you deal with your life situation. This understanding can enable you to feel empowered, approach things differently and thus manage your situation. I enjoy my work as a counsellor and am passionate about the benefits of Counselling to enable you to find your own path and as a powerful healing process. It is both a responsibility and a privilege to be an active part of your exploration and new understanding. I offer you my full commitment and dedication.

I believe counselling is an investment in yourself, your relationships and your future,

You are very welcome to contact me by phone or email, I am very happy to answer any questions you may have.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
