I am a skilled and experienced counsellor who understands that we all need a little extra support at times to overcome challenges we face and restore balance to our lives. My service is confidential and individual to your own circumstances. I work out of counselling rooms on a first floor in Chester le Street or out of rooms on first floor in Jesmond, Newcastle. if a client is unable to access these rooms I can arrange to meet in a place of their choice, including their own home
I am available across the week and have limited availability at weekends for face to face, telephone or counselling via email.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a diploma in counselling and in hypnotherapy, and I am a trained bereavement volunteer for a local bereavement care charity. I have worked in Social Care and Health with people for 30 years and can offer support across a wide range of issues for example:
- Termination of pregnancy
- Emotional abuse
- Low self confidence
- Fear of socialising
- Work related stress
- Relationship issues
- Phobias and fears
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society and a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.

All counselling sessions last one hour.
If you wish to have an initial telephone consultation of 15 minutes, there will be no charge for this. If you decide that you wish to meet with me my fee is bewteen £35 and £55 depending upon where the sessions are held.
I am experienced in supporting people across a wide range of needs including those who have a mental health or autism spectrum condition, a learning disability, acquired brain injury, dementia, physical or sensory needs.
