About me
Welcome. I understand it can feel daunting looking for a counsellor or wondering if counselling is what you need right now. I'm happy to support you with these questions.
I offer a free 30-minute initial session to explain my approach, learn about you, and answer any questions you may have. This gives us a chance to see if we’re a good fit to work together.
Sessions are held online using Zoom, or over the phone. Being in your own space and not needing to travel can help sessions feel manageable, relaxed, and engaging. I believe in making counselling accessible and offering a supportive, professional experience wherever you are.
My Approach:
I believe that talking through our experiences can help us gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and our relationships. I offer an open, supportive space where we can begin to explore your inner world together.
I work as an integrative counsellor, drawing on person-centred and psychodynamic theory, alongside CBT and coaching techniques. This allows me to meet you where you are and tailor my approach to your specific needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’ve supported people through a range of challenges, including grief and loss, anxiety, low mood, chronic pain and fatigue, and a lack of meaning. I also work with difficulties around boundaries, struggles connecting with needs and self-expression, as well as experiences of stress, relationship challenges, and navigating life transitions.
I’m a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow their ethical code, which includes regular supervision.
Qualifications:
- Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Counselling
- Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Coaching
Recent CPD includes: health coaching for pain management, suicide and self-harm support, national trauma conference attendance and safeguarding adults.
Counselling Sessions:
There are many reasons to start counselling. You might be finding it difficult to understand what’s happened in your life. Something may be affecting you now that you’d like support with. Or you may want to make changes by looking at your values and goals.
We would first explore what you need at the moment and your preferred way of working. You may want more structured, solution-focused sessions, a more open space to be yourself and bring what feels important to each session, or we may find ourselves somewhere in the middle.
Sessions last 50 minutes and often take place weekly at a regular time. The work can be short or long term, with regular check-ins to reflect on how things are going.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
